![]() Magix sells the program with loops, sounds, photos, etc. To use any of the prerecorded loops, you need the professional license. Go into Catooh and check the licenses that you have. If this gets to be too complicated perhaps I should of saved up a little more for Pro-tools. On the Protools Music program. You are free to use their loops on your music and to sell commercially, but I do not understand why this is different? Can someone please clear this up and explain why the EULA is different than what Im being told by Magix.or Catooh. Why would they sell me the disk if I have to pay addional for a professional licence to use it for the purpose of oringinally buying the disk in the first place? Who is going to write music just for Youtube? I believe I used them and I dont feel I need to pay $199 for a professional license. I understand you cannot extract the loops and sell them to third parties as single files. Have I misunderstood this? Because from what I understand I have used the sound within the scope of producing my music for commercial purposes. Exploitation of these music, video and photo files outside the scope of personally created works is prohibited. Exploitation of these music, video and photo files outside the scope of personally created works is illegal. Transfer of these files to third parties for commercial purposes is not permitted. Commercial use constitutes receipt of financial benefits through direct or indirect use of the files (through sale, licensing, ad banners, etc.) This applies to the music, video and photo files included with the product "WebDesigner" with the stipulation that these files may be used in the scope of the purchaser's own commercial website. This also applies to music, video or photo data acquired through or by means of MAGIX products. The music, video and photo files included with MAGIX products may only be used within the scope of producing personally created works to be used for commercial purposes. Line 6 of the EULA on the DVD collection 19 disk reads: I am being told by Magix that I cannot sell my music unless I pay $199 U.S for a professional License. On some of the songs, I have used a drum loop or other Looping instrument. I have created a music album of my compositions. I have Magix Music maker 2013 Premium I also purchased the DVD Sound Pool Collection 19. What doesnt make sense is, why include a disk of loops and sounds, if you cant use them in the music you write to sell online? So anyway, here are my facts: I have called and spoken to someone at Magix, I have also been emailing them but no clear answers. I will give a full outlook on why I am asking this question. There is a lot of confusion over the rights and useage of the Sound Pools. The main drive can run the program functions while the second drive is reading the audio files.I have seen simular questions to this but not exactly the answer I was looking for. This will allow both hard drives to work independently at the same time. *Note: If you have more than one hard drive, it may be better to copy the soundpool DVD to the second hard drive. This will install all of the Soundpool 17 files in the soundpool. It should then load all of the soundpools contained in the Basic_17 folder. In MMM, click on "Add Styles" go to the "Basic_17" folder and click OK. Make sure the "Use Installed Soundpool Even After Reset" box is NOT checked and click on the "Reset Soundpool" button. ![]() Then, go to File > Settings > Program Settings OR simply hit the 'Y' key. Then, the best thing to do would be to delete the existing soundpool in MM-17 and reload it.įirst, open MMM. You don't want to have two sets of the same files. That way, only the audio files that are not already there will be copied. Then, you simply copy the files from the DVD to that folder. If you hit the 'Y' key in MMM and go to the Folders tab, you can find out exactly where the soundpool is stored. If you have only one hard drive*, the best place to install the soundpool is in the existing MM-17 "Basic_17" folder. If you have the Basic version of MM-17, then you do want to install and load the Soundpool DVD. In that case, you would just keep the DVD for a back-up. If you have MM-17 Premium installed, you don't need to install the soundpool DVD.
